Austromyrtus dulcis
Myrtaceae
Many cultivated forms (in parks and gardens for example) of this plant are actually Austromyrtus glabra (pers. obsv) and care must be taken that the identification is correct. Although both have edible berries, if the progeny are to be used in restoration projects, it is important that the identification of the parent is correct (although cultivated varieties should not be used as sources for revegetation plants anyway).
